I am thankful for my sister for giving me rides to school even though I am always tardy because of her. I am also thankful for my mom who supports me in everything I do including sports, clubs, and other activities. She also works hard so that our family can live comfortably. Also I am thankful for my friends who make my day better even when I am in a bad mood. Another thing I am thankful for is my teammates who push me to work hard even when I don’t feel like it. I am thankful for Mr. Wheeler because he is always chill about turning in assignments and isn’t too harsh when grading.

I believe that racial prejudice has been the downfall of our country from the start. This is because many seek freedom in the “Land of the Free” but once they are here they are scared to enjoy their freedoms. In our small town there was an event that happened which is very common in our world today. A group of men were persuaded by racial prejudice to go to the county jail and attempt to lynch Tom Robinson. Earlier in this year Tom was accused of rape by Mayella Ewell. When Atticus Finch pulled up in an attempt to stop or persuade them to stop what they were about to do he had no idea that he was followed by his children. When things started to get out of hand Mr. Finches daughter stepped out and without realizing what she was doing she resolved the situation.
I understand how these men felt it was right to try to save this woman’s virtue and prevent her from having to face the accused in court, but trying to take the law in your own hands can be unfair to the opposing side. The fact this man could be innocent would be one reason to let the court handle this situation. Another reason is that this could potentially get you or others in trouble for murder. The Finches showed great character as they stood against this mob and defended what could be an innocent man. The question is why aren’t all people like this? The problem is that many are raised with the same beliefs that being racist is okay. My opinion in all this is that people need to stay out of the situation and let the law be held in the right hands no matter how irate the issue makes you.

10/6/16 My First Crush
My first crush was a girl I rode the bus with in kindergarten. I cant remember her name and we didn’t have the same teacher but every morning and afternoon we’d hold hands whenever the bus driver wasn’t looking. I think she had blonde hair and she was a hottie. She seemed to be really clingy cause whenever I wouldn’t hold her hand she’d get all mad. One time we got caught by the bus driver and she and I got really embarrassed. I think she moved to a different school, which broke my heart. I’m over it now, but I cant help wondering if she’s still a hottie.
